Terms and Conditions
I, the undersigned Resonate Global Participant, hereby agree to the following terms and policies. I recognize that Resonate Global is designed for maximum spiritual growth. As a result of its spiritual nature and discipleship purpose, Resonate Global includes standards which may be different from those that apply in other contexts or environments.
Safety and Protection
1. A buddy system will be used for any Participants leaving the dormitory grounds (or other housing) after 9 p.m. This includes leaving for jogging or other exercise or recreation.
2. All Participants must be on site by 11 p.m. unless otherwise cleared with Team Leader.
3. Unless cleared ahead of time by the long-term workers, all Participants (including leaders) must sleep at the dorm or other housing provided as part of the project.
4. The Project Leader must give prior approval to any visitor coming to the hotel or other housing or visiting a Participant during the project.
5. No overnight guests are permitted to stay in a Participant’s room.
6. No unauthorized attendance at bars, clubs, or hookah lounges is permitted for a Participant aged 21 or older. Attendance may be authorized only by the Project Leaders. A Participant under the age of 21 may not enter a bar, club, or hookah lounge.
7. Driving motorized scooters or bicycles will not be allowed while on project to protect the well-being of Participants.
Moral Standards
1. Honor the Lord and each other with appearance, including through modesty in dress. If the Project Director or another leader determines that particular clothing is inappropriate, the Participant agrees to abide by that determination and no longer wear that clothing during the project.
2. No male may be in a female’s bedroom at any time without at least two (2) other individuals present (including the female he is visiting). No female may be in a male’s bedroom at any time without at least two (2) other individuals present (including the male she is visiting).
3. No new tattoos or piercings may be obtained during the project.
4. No Participant may enter into any new dating relationship during the project. Though Participants who began dating before the project may continue in their relationship, their focus is to be on the project. The Team Leader or long-term workers may impose limitations on a dating couple if that leader believes certain behavior is interfering with a Participant’s focus or ability to fulfill the goals of the project.
5. Bullying, sexual harassment, aggressive behavior of any kind, inappropriate or offensive language, and conduct that creates unresolvable conflict or causes disruption to the project are not permitted and are subject to discipline up to and including dismissal, at the sole discretion of long-term workers and/or the Send Team.
6. Participants are expected to be kind, considerate, and encouraging roommates, co-workers, and neighbors, including by keeping noise down at night, doing a fair share of cleaning, and sharing the responsibility for groceries and toiletries.
Additional Terms
1. All project activities and meetings are mandatory and must be attended on time.
2. Participants may not leave the project before its conclusion. Any exception must be discussed with the Send team before the project begins. Excused absences may be arranged before the project begins for things like weddings (if you are in the wedding party) or mandatory school functions.
3. An emergency absence, such as for a death in the family, must be cleared with the Send Team before a Participant leaves the project. An emergency absence will not be permitted unless the Send team agrees that the circumstances truly constitute an emergency for which the Participant’s absence is required and which the Participant could not have anticipated earlier.
4. All deposits and other payments toward Resonate Global are non-refundable, regardless of whether you drop out, leave the project, or are dismissed during the project for disciplinary reasons.
5. Participant spots in the project cannot be cancelled after March 7, 2027. A Participant who drops out of the project after that date acknowledges that his/her air flight, visa, and other non-refundable costs cannot be cancelled and agrees to pay the full cost of those non-refundable expenses, regardless of the reason for dropping out of the project. Resonate will work with any Participant who must drop out due to unforeseeable emergency circumstances in an effort to reduce the financial burden on that Participant but cannot guarantee a reduction in the full cost of non-refundables owed by that Participant. Anyone who drops out after the cancellation date is responsible for the full cost if Resonate cannot secure a reduction in cost.
6. Any Participant who does not have full funding turned in by May 25, 2027 will be removed from the project and will forfeit all deposits and previous payments toward the project.
7. Resonate reserves the right of the Send team or other Resonate leaders to communicate with a Participant’s parents/guardians regarding Elevate and the Participant’s Agreement, regardless of the Participant’s age.
8. Any Participant who engages in sexual conduct; uses illegal drugs; consumes alcohol; is terminated from a job for cause (e.g. tardiness or violation of company policy); violates the terms of this Agreement; or does not heed a warning from the Send Team, the long-term workers, or another project leader about any other conduct deemed to be in violation of this Agreement (i.e. engages in the same or similar behavior after having been warned against it) may be subject to immediate dismissal from the project at the discretion of the Send Team. A dismissed Participant forfeits all money paid for the project and is responsible for the costs of his/her transportation home, though the Send Team or other project leaders will assist the dismissed Participant in arranging necessary transportation.
I am of the age of majority in my state and have read this entire Agreement carefully. I agree to be bound by the terms and policies contained in this Agreement.
